An Owner's Guide To Healthier Pets

When it comes to munch time, pets get very excited and hyper, but you must make sure that your fur babies eat the correct food for them. Dogs and cats are the most common pets that a household has, but common foods that we can see in our house must always be out of reach for our pets.

Here are some foods that you should not feed your pets:

Chocolate and Caffeine

  • I mean, do we really need to explain this? Chocolate contains a chemical called "theobromine" that is very toxic to our pets and can even lead to death. Caffeine also leads to high blood pressure.

Corn Cob

  • Dogs may enjoy eating corn and even finish all of it but cobs can actually cause a risk of choking and can lead to serious intestinal problems.

Bones

  • Bones??? You thought dogs loved bones? Well, yes, but not all dogs and pets can eat bones. Pets differ in size, so they also differ in the food they eat. Bones that don't match their appetite can cause digestion problems.

Candy

  • Just like us humans, pets must not also ingest foods with too much sugar. It may cause seizures, liver failure, and low blood sugar levels. Treats that are appropriate for them are much better.

Raw Fish

  • Cats love fish, eh? Raw fish contains a chemical called thiaminase that breaks down important nutrients in their bodies, causing convulsions and neurological problems.

Remember these so that our fur babies can live a longer and happier life with you! YYou cannot simply give them your leftovers; instead, you must be mindful of what they consume. <3

*Disclaimer: Do not always rely on everything that you see on the internet, and always check with a veteran first before doing something you don't know on your own.
